689 Arrested in Islandwide Raids by Security Forces

COLOMBO (News 1st);According to the Police 689 people have been arrested for drug offences.

These arrests were made during raids carried out yesterday by the Police, the Police Special Task Force, and the Tri-Forces across the island.

The number of arrests made during the special search operations is 241.

Police said that 242 people with open warrants have also been arrested.
