Public Invited to Submit Information on Coal Deals to Presidential Commission

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate all coal transactions carried out in Sri Lanka has begun collecting information from relevant institutions.

Secretary to the Commission, P. V. Bandulasena, said the public would be able to provide information related to the investigations starting from next week.

He called on anyone with information regarding coal transactions to submit details to the commission.

Accordingly, relevant information can be handed over to the commission’s office located within the Colombo Hulftsdorp court complex.

Bandulasena said that statements may also be recorded from certain individuals, depending on investigative requirements.

The Special Presidential Commission is chaired by Supreme Court Justice Gihan Kulatunga. Court of Appeal Judge Adithya Patabendige and High Court Judge Sanjeewa Somaratne serve as the other members of the commission.
