Former Health Secretary and Former Minister Summoned to CID

COLOMBO (News 1st): Former Secretary to the Ministry of Health, Janaka Sri Chandragupta, appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department today. 

This is linked to investigations regarding a person who posed as a public servant through an appointment letter allegedly issued under his signature.

The Criminal Investigation Department stated that a statement is scheduled to be recorded from him regarding the relevant appointment letter.

Meanwhile, former Minister Piyasena Gamage has also been summoned before the Criminal Investigation Department.

This is to obtain a statement in relation to an investigation into assets allegedly acquired illegally.
