IGP’s Whatsapp Hotline Receives Over 2,000 Complaints, Reaches Capacity

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police announced that discussions are underway with WhatsApp to increase the capacity of the complaint number introduced by Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasooriya.

According to Police, the WhatsApp number 0718598888 has already exceeded its capacity, with over 2,000 complaints received from the public.

This number was introduced for the public by the IGP inorder to submit complaints of police misconduct or if the general public do not receive proper service from the police.
